Take in the powerful forces of nature with a visit to Iguazu falls!

Witness the awe – inspiring power of nature with a visit to the magnificent Iguazu falls!

Spanning the border between Argentina and Brazil, the Iguazu Falls are among the most imposing on the planet. These colossal waterfalls stretch over almost three kilometers, comprising about 300 individual cascades. From small secondary torrents to towering cataracts reaching nearly 100 meters in height, the Iguazu Falls boast a breathtaking display of nature’s grandeur, discharging an astounding volume of water at over 1.7 million liters per second, with peak flows that can reach up to an incredible 46 million liters per second!

Explore both the Brazilian and Argentine sides of the falls on two half-day excursions, guided by local experts who will unveil the secrets of this natural wonder. The Brazilian falls offer panoramic vistas, allowing you to marvel at the expansive splendor of the scene and provide a picture-perfect view of the iconic “Devil’s Throat”. This is the name for the famous horse-shoe shaped falls.

On the Argentine side, traverse a network of walkways spanning 2 kilometers, offering close encounters with the cascades and access to viewpoints such as the “Passarela Superior” and “Passarela Inferior”, where you can witness the mesmerizing spectacle of the falls up close.

If you visit in the months when the flow is at its highest (June / July & October) you will most probably feel the spray and find yourself in the mist either on the footbridges or at the bottom of Salto Bossetti. Don’t forget to bring a lightweight raincoat with you because the temperatures can be quite cool!

A day trip to a UNESCO world heritage site

Spanning the borders of Brazil and Argentina, the Iguazu Falls are nestled within two distinct national parks.

Iguazu Park on the Argentinian side has held UNESCO World Heritage status since 1984, while its counterpart, Iguazu National Park in Brazil, received the designation in 1986. Despite its formal establishment in the 1930s, the Brazilian park owes its existence to the visionary efforts of Alberto Santos-Dumont, a pioneering aviator renowned for his 14 bis airplane.

Santos-Dumont’s unwavering dedication led to the creation of the park. Faced with the incredible popularity of the engineer, the governor of Paraná at the time was forced to create the infrastructure safeguarding the pristine surroundings of the Iguazu Falls from potential exploitation and degradation during the 1950s.

Today, visitors can immerse themselves in the untouched jungle enveloping the falls, embarking on guided forest excursions or on the exhilarating Macuco Safari Tour. For thrill-seekers, an optional activity offers the chance to traverse the forest in electric vehicles before continuing the adventure aboard large RIB style power boats. It’s an ideal choice for those seeking an adrenaline-pumping experience during their Brazilian getaway!

Stay in Iguazu – Detailed Itinerary

Your Iguazu visit itinerary includes private transfers to and from the airport, accommodation at select hotels, and guided tours of the falls on both the Brazilian and Argentine sides. Meals are not included, except for breakfast.

Day 1 : Iguazu / In – Brazilian side

In the morning, upon your arrival at Foz do Iguaçu International Airport, your chauffeur will be waiting to greet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Later in the afternoon, you will be collected for an excursion on the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Waterfalls, accompanied by an expert guide (approximately 3 hours).

On arrival, you will find that the Brazilian side of the falls offers a more natural experience than the Argentine side. It is less developed and numerous viewpoints provide stunning perspectives of the falls, allowing you to appreciate their immense size and the myriad of smaller waterfalls weaving through the rock and jungle.

During your visit, keep an eye out for the diverse wildlife inhabiting the area, including monkeys, rare tropical birds, and the adventurous “Coati”, a diurnal rodent related to the raccoon.

For those seeking an extra thrill, consider concluding your adventure with the optional Macuco Safari. This excursion involves cruising up the river in a large twin-engined powerboat to reach the base of the falls. You will be enveloped in the misty spray and the roar of the water. Energy and excitement guaranteed!

Afterward, return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 2  : Iguazu / Departure – Argentinian Falls

In the morning enjoy a hearty buffet breakfast at the hotel before embarking on the next leg of your journey. A vehicle will be arranged to transport you to the Iguazu Falls, this time on the Argentinian side of the border.

You will find that the walkways on the Argentinian side are more extensive, stretching over 2 kilometers and offering an elaborate experience. Access to the falls is facilitated by a small train and various footbridges, strategically designed to provide visitors with close proximity to the waterfalls along two main circuits: the “Passarela Superior” and “Passarela Inferior.”

The “Passarela Superior,” (approximately 1600 meters long), leads you to the summit of the waterfalls, offering mesmerizing views of the transparent “fold” of the river as it plunges over the cliff, instantly creating a cloud of white spray.

The “Passarela Inferior,” a shorter circuit, allows you to experience the full force of the water, sometimes resulting in an unexpected shower! Depending on the river’s water level, certain footbridges may be enveloped in mist from the cascades or directly hit by powerful jets of water. It’s advisable to protect your electronic devices!

During your visit, don’t miss the opportunity to witness the iconic “Devil’s Throat,” the largest of the 275 waterfalls comprising the site. With its horseshoe shape and towering height of 100 meters, the spectacle is truly awe-inspiring.

Later in the morning, return to the hotel to collect your luggage and check out. You may leave your luggage at the reception until your departure time. Following that, you’ll be transferred to the airport, marking the end of our services.
